Today at 9:30am we had the pleasure of visiting Coffee and Business a business networking event hosted by Jayson Olthoff – The Pro Networker.
Jayson is associated with several successful businesses and organizations in Great Falls such as The SocialBytes , First Call Computer Solutions , Small Business Leaders Alliance (SBLA), Leadership TV, and he currently serves on the board of directors at Peace Place – Great Falls.
So when the station was invited to visit and check out Coffee and Business, how could we refuse?
We arrived at 9:30am to complete full room of small business owners, and to our delight we knew many of them, either they are clients, or friends.
What sets coffee and business apart from any other business groups other than its price (Free) is the atmosphere and the relevant to today’s business world topic’s that are discussed.
Today’s topic was on “Reviews” and how important they are.
My first impressions of CAB were, “Oh nice, this is just another business thing???” and I didn’t feel like I would learn anything. But? CAB proved me WRONG!!
At today’s session I learned that “Reviews” are everything for a business. They can make or break a business, and often times those who have good reviews don’t really leave them as much as those who don’t.
I learned that sometimes people will post, “She answers her phone at 10:30pm at night and goes the extra mile!” is a review that while touching, some business owners would prefer to not have.
Regardless however of the topic of discussion, the prime point of this article is to convey to you the reader that every topic and every moment we spend at CAB is something we can apply to improve our small business.
CAB is also a structured event that happens weekly and sticks to the structured timeline.
This means that if I want to leave at any time I certainly can, but I can also know that if I want to see the speaker, I have to be there by 10. If I want to be a part of Networking, 9:30am.
BTW, you do want to be there for the entire hour!
