WOW! Oh my gosh, every time I think I’ve seen it all, something even more egregious or nefarious slaps me in the face!
I imagine by now that most of you have heard of the bulls*** that some of the Cascade County commissioners are trying to pull by yanking the election administrative responsibilities away from the “ELECTED” official of Clerk and Recorder and assign those responsibilities to someone of “their” choosing!
The voters of Cascade County recently let their voices be heard and voted to “fire” Rina Moore and her ilk from the office of Clerk and Recorder and replace them with Sandra Merchant and her staff as an effort to improve their faith in, and the transparency of, the elections office. Now watch, they will probably appoint Rina or her proxy Lynn in total disregard for the VOTERS input last election! And why would that be? Maybe because they need them back in charge to continue to cover up any immoral or even illegal antics that may have been cloaked in secrecy for years?
Some of the commissioners have made it abundantly clear from Sandra Merchant’s first day on the job, that they were livid about the election outcome, and have been throwing hurdles in front of Sandra to impede her success at every turn! Now one of them is even LYING to the press about Sandra’s performance to the press to justify this unprecedented coup.
I recall hearing along the way, that our government “allows” us to vote, so it gives us a feeling of input and self-control of our government right before the government does what IT wants. To my sheer dismay and disgust, I believe I am seeing that in living color in my own county! They should be ashamed!!!
If you share my opinion, please light up their phones starting tomorrow morning and tell them that they do NOT have the power to disregard the will of the voters and you will not forget this overzealous move by a couple of narcissists who evidently need to continue to hide something!
Be sure to make it to their next meeting when they intend to vote on this insult of a resolution (which would last in perpetuity, never again allowing you a say in your future election officials) at Exhibition Hall at the fairgrounds Tuesday the 12th at 9:30 a.m., or just agree that they can (and will) continue to chip away at every one of your rights!
